European Quality Institute (EQI) Mission Statement European Quality Institute (EQI) 501(c)(3) non-for-profit, educational corporation based in Pennsylvania, USA. EQI’s main goal is to organize the International Conference on ISO 9000, the Lean & Six Sigma World Conferences, and related public workshops and educational programs. The organization’s name is in reference to the fact that the educational programs are geared towards bringing the expertise from the European Union to the United States, so that the U.S. companies can be educated on the International Quality Management Standards in order to produce goods and services that meet industry and sector-specific export regulations around the world. In this manner, EQI wishes to contribute to the United State's competitiveness in today's international marketplace.
