  BIOGRAPHY

David Disney

Quality Manager, Protocast, Inc., Commerce City, CO, USA

David Disney has been in Manufacturing, beginning at Woodward Governor where he started in Mechanical Assembly. Here he learned about Travelers, and procedures that HAD to be followed. Once he left and moved to Protocast, he started as a Sales Engineer, and noticed that the Quality system was not effective, nor operating at the potential it could be. He pushed to be the new Quality person, even though he knew VERY little about ISO or any other Quality system. He got the role and has been the Quality Manager since the beginning of February in 2017, which is where the Quality journey began. After visiting his first ISO World Conference he dove as deep into the Quality World as he could, including working with numerous different companies to acquire as vast of a knowledge as he was capable of on how different companies work. He has spoken at the ISO World Conference in 2018 about “Millennials and ISO” encapsulating the ideas of crossing generational gaps and promoting engagement with the Quality Systems that most companies adhere to.

Spearheaded taking Protocast Inc. to a fully accredited AS9100:2016 Certification, and implemented all of the Procedures required, with a very small team. Received his AS9100 Lead Auditor Training from CALISO, an SAE International Company in September 2019. Is an avid Snowboarder, and runs to the hills to chase snow whenever possible. Doesn’t like video games. Is happily married and visits Mexico each year with his beautiful wife (who is significantly out of his league). Is not good at auto biographies, hence why this ones not very good.
