ISO 9000 & AUDITS WORLD CONFERENCE ABSTRACT
Moving Beyond Transition of the AS9100 Series (9100, 9110, 9120) – Taking a Practical Approach
Aviation, Space and Defense are trend setters in the world of standards. You will find many new requirements and concepts in ISO 9001:2015 that the lineage can be traced back to the AS9100 Series of standards. The new AS9100 series of standards has continued its evolution from a purely compliance orientated standard to one who’s basis is still compliance by also provides a greater focus on measures and opportunities for improvement, while allowing greater flexibility in how we implement the requirements and how we demonstrate conformance.
When developing new processes, or identifying existing ones, many organizations tend to overcomplicate their processes. When developing processes they tend to lose sight of their true inputs and outputs by intermixing them with tasks that accomplish the process. In this session we will cover the understanding of key requirements though lessons learned and clarifications, while providing tips, tools and technics for developing effective processes at the appropriate level. You will take away from the presentation knowledge of current trends and clarifications of requirements that have had potential for misinterpretation, understanding of how certain requirements can be used to mitigate and even avoid product and service issues and an understanding of how focused processes written at the proper level can benefit the organization.
Conference/Exhibit Registration will open on October 4, 2019
