As a Lead Consultant, experienced Auditor, Author, and Trainer turned CEO, Mr. Teuscher has developed a unique risk-management approach towards auditing management systems. His executive management, oil and gas, and auditing experience provide him with a unique understanding that management systems are practical tools, not merely requirements. The facilities boarded represent the SEMS for over ½ of the total number of facilities in the GoM. In addition, he has acted as SEMS Auditor on over 20 audits, including the largest and second-largest operators (by the number of facilities) in the GoM, making him one of the most experienced auditors in the industry.
His SEMS auditing experience includes significant offshore oil and gas industry processes, including drilling, production, construction, P&A, and decommissioning facilities.
Mr. Teuscher has audited offshore facilities in the GoM and the Pacific Ocean.
As CEO of one of the most respected Audit Service Providers (ASP) in the US, Mr. Teuscher actively participates in several COS committees, assisting in writing and presenting COS guidance documents. As an auditor, he has been witnessed by both BSEE and Center for Offshore Safety auditors.
Moreover, he has spent the last years being the primary negotiator and coordinator of CICS with BSEE and the COS. He has also been the principal designer of the CICS Management system to be compliant with the COS and BSEE requirements to achieve accreditation.
Mr. Teuscher’s understanding of the US Oil and Gas industry led him to participate in 2018 in the Mexican Oil and Gas market by being the leading designer of CICS’ Management System to be compliant with the ASEA (Mexican Energy and Environmental Agency regulating the hydrocarbon market in Mexico), and resulting in the first and only ASP to be authorized to perform Third Party Audits both in the USA and in Mexico.
Mr. Teuscher also designed the CICS Management System to be accredited under The Climate Registry to perform GHG Verifications across America for stationary emitters and aviation verifications.
Other responsibilities in his career include coordinating and training auditors and verifiers in the United States and Latin America and establishing mechanisms to ensure uniform interpretation of the different standards (TCR Verification Protocols, CAR GHG Projects, SEMS, SASISOPA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001).
Before his position at CICS Inc., from 1995 to 1996, he worked as a training manager for SGS ICS Inc., where he was recognized for tripling the services provided and quadrupling the revenue earnings.
Among his primary responsibilities included designing, developing, and presenting Environmental and Quality Lead Auditor courses accredited by the Register Accreditation Board (RAB).
Prior to his Training Manager position, he worked as an Auditor and Certification Manager for SGS ICS Inc., where he was responsible for developing SGS ICS Mexican affiliates, including hiring and developing candidates to become Lead Auditors.
