ISO 9000 & AUDITS WORLD CONFERENCE ABSTRACT
Why a Strong Foundation in People Is Critical to You Quality Endeavor
Deborah Barnes will reveal techniques and skills necessary to take your quality endeavor beyond compliant – to highly successful. The approach will provide key milestones for program initiation, development, and improvement. You will learn how to ignite corporate enthusiasm from within the workforce. And how to develop and share vision supported by resources and empowerment. Through this presentation you will be inspired to build a quality management system that breaths success into the organization. You will be encouraged to inspire your teams and provide them the path to continued growth and success.
Establishing a Quality Management System is the starting point on the path to ISO certification. It is also a major organizational change undertaking, something many are not properly prepared for. Do you know where to start? How to form a quality management team? What is a quality management team? How to set them and the organization up for success? You know who your technical experts are, who your managers are, but you need to form and enable a team of change agents. You will learn what new key roles are required, how to identify the right people for those roles, and how to empower them. You will learn how to determine who is on board with the initiative, who is undecided, and who is resistant or opposed to the change. Next you will see how to move staff from one group to another until they are an engaged part of the team. In a few cases some will no longer be a part of the program.
An enduring Quality Management System is built by people. These people are you experts, they are leaders, and they people who care. Some will have a vital role focused on enabling others to generate success. We will explore how to identify who these folks are and what their roles encompass. Others are experts in your various business areas, you know who they are. You will discover how to facilitate their success in quality management. We will explore how to eliminate single points of failure. How do you establish cadre of internal auditors? Who should they be? How are they trained? How do they prepare for an audit – and have fun doing so? Who is going to engage with the external auditors, how do you prepare them? We will explore answers to each of these questions.
Documentation, process, measurement, and continuous improvement are often overwhelming concepts to team members. We will address how to remove the apprehension and confusion, and replace them with confidence and initiative. You will discover how to inspire people, create esprit de corps, and drive success. We will discuss how to form teams, and also explore how to unlock the creativity and brilliance of each team member. Building the strong foundation in people will enable successful certification. And this foundation will deliver benefits that will fortify your organization. You will have the tools to generate higher levels of performance and reduce errors. Increased teamwork will flourish. The vital advantages will include accountability and sustainability – critical to the future of your organization.
Participate in this presentation to learn how to ignite corporate enthusiasm from within the workforce. Understand how to develop and share vision supported by resources and empowerment. Return to your organization prepared to excite, enable, and empower your teams. Be prepared to encourage and inspire your teams and provide them the path to continued growth and success. Then watch the benefits of your Quality Management System unfold. Remember to celebrate!
