Understanding The New AS9100 and IA9100 RequirementsIndustry: Aviation/Space Keywords: Aviation, Space, Defense, AS9100, IA9100 Level: Intermediate LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/buddy-cressionnie/ Co-Speaker: Yes Individuals responsible for Quality Management System (QMS) implementation, preparation, realization, and auditing to the AS9100:2016 standard series for Aviation, Space, and Defense (ASD) require an understanding of International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) ASD standards requirements. When ASD standards are implemented and correctly maintained, utilizing the process approach, managing risks, and proactively identifying opportunities its use results in improved performance. A look forward to IA9100 development, requirements, and timeline will provide organizations insights to start planning effective implementation strategies. By attending this workshop, you will be able to: Understand the role of the IAQG Group and the standards they develop. Summarize the International Aviation, Space & Defense standards change process and why changes to the standards were required. Identify the requirements of AS9100:2016 Rev. D with emphasis on the process approach, Annex SL high level structure, risk-based thinking versus risk management, product safety, counterfeit parts, and human factors. Gain insights into the IA9100, the replacement to AS9100:2016 Rev. D, regarding development, requirements, and timeline. This workshop is intended for ASD industry professionals who desire a detailed understanding of the requirements of AS9100 Rev. D and preview IA9100 upcoming requirements to manage, implement, and perform audits to the standards. CressionnieIAQG-1 Standard Vice Chair and Americas IA9100 Leader, International Aerospace Quality Group, Trophy Club, TX, USA L.L. “Buddy” Cressionnie is the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) Americas leader for IAQG-1 standards and AS9100/IA9100 standard. He is active in standards development as a liaison member to international ISO Technical Committee (TC) 176, including Deputy Convenor for Planning the Future of ISO 9001 and participation on ISO Future Concepts, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 9004:2018, and ISO 9001 Interpretations Committee. Buddy graduated with an Engineering degree from the University of Florida and MBA from Texas Christian University. |
