That means, that even if you are not today, most organizations will be required to have registration, or at least compliance, to more than one of the ISO MSS’s. ISO did publish a handbook called The Integrated Use of Management System Standards (IUMSS) – PUB100435. Commonly called the IUMSS Handbook, this 140 page document was designed specifically to help organizations through the challenge of integrating two or more of the ISO Management System Standards (MSS) into one effective management system.A simple question to all management staff is that “If you can’t demonstrated that you are saving bottom line dollars by the use of your management system, then you are doing something wrong!” The IUMSS was specifically designed to help company improve and incorporate a one management system approach to any combination of the 50 plus ISO MSS auditable standards. What has been noted over the past five years is that many organizations have used trial and error to improve their management systems as they lack good benchmark data to look for potential effective shortcuts to continually improvement their management system. The IUMSS, could be your missing link to help ensure that your system is working effectively and to give guidance if you have not already started integrating multiple ISO MSS’s. After conducting over 800 audits in the past 10 years, the ISO audit guy will share ideas in this presentation on how the best in class organizations are effectively integrating their management system to meet the challenges of today’s business clients. Using these ideas along with risk based internal auditing techniques can save your organization time and money for the registration process or to demonstrate compliance to your customers. |
